(More customer reviews)I purchased this comforter set for our bedroom makeover. I wanted a nautical type theme without going to the typical "ships and lighthouse" bedding. The shades of blue are perfect and made matching accessories easy. The quality of the stitching on the comforter is well done and looks like it should keep its shape for a long time. It also is very warm. The shams are well made and the button detail is very nice.

(More customer reviews)I bought this set for my toddler who is crazy about Maisy. I washed the set prior to using it according to instructions. But when I pulled the comforter out of the dryer, the comforter stuffing was all bunched up in a ball. There's hardly any stuffing/batting in the comforter, so now, the comforter is like two cheap sheets sewn together with a lump of some cheap stuffing floating around in it. It's a disappointment after buying what looked like such a cute product.

Marvel Superhero Squad Full Comforter Review

(More customer reviews)As my young son is a huge super hero buff, finding him the perfect full-size comforter proved more difficult than expected. Part of the problem is that all too often super hero bedding accessories are based upon the latest comic book movies, which frequently targets young kids in their merchandising even though the movie itself isn't necessarily appropriate for the kids' age bracket. Case in point: PG-13 and R-rated movies like "The Dark Knight," "Iron Man," and "The Incredible Hulk," and "Superman Returns" will try selling anything and everything to promote themselves, no matter whether or not youngsters should actually see these movies.
At the time (a few months ago), our only options were "The Dark Knight" and an over-priced, out-of-release one with Superman. My conscience told me buying my son bedding accessories based upon an R-rated film like "The Dark Knight," just wasn't right. Luckily, we finally came upon this set featuring Marvel Comics' "Super Hero Squad" (i.e. kiddie versions of vintage characters like Captain America, the Hulk, Wolverine, etc.). While I understand there is an animated program tie-in (really, no surprise there), this lightweight comforter is well-manufactured and holds up well after washing.
Rating: 9/10.(Great option for your super-tyke!)
P.S. Also, the manufacturers produce matching bed sheets & pillow cases if you are looking for them (sold separately, of course).

The red is brownish -- sort of a brick or a sienna color, and the gold is subdued, earthen, not garish. The rope braid is substantial, not flimsy, and the sham is lined with a thin layer of poly fill -- another unexpected extra. The extra accent pillow pack finishes the comforter set off perfectly. I am very pleased with the beautiful warmth of this quality set, and the value is simply amazing.
