The weight of it is perfect: enough substance to give a feeling of security, yet still light enough to be comfortable. It keeps me warm in my cool bedroom during this unusually cold Santa Fe NM winter. It is definitely a cold-weather weight; it would be too warm in other than late fall and winter. The cover is sewn well - both technically and in a way that keeps the wool batting in place -and the cotton is of a good quality. The price ($197.99 for Double/Queen) is excellent, especially with free shipping from amazon. All in all, a wonderful purchase.
