The brown and off-white colors are accurate in the photo; the contrast gold color is a soft gold and not as bright as pictured. This was a plus for us as the color combo is quite elegant. The comforter fits our king size bed well and the dark color doesn't show the pet hair as much as I thought it would. Also, the comforter is a good weight for us, thick but not too thick. I really like the shams and accent pillows -- they highlight the comforter nicely and take it from boring to interesting.

(More customer reviews)All the material is very thin, which is somewhat expected with a thread count this high, but any feathers that slip through my comforter go right through the duvet cover as well so you can see feathers everywhere and there are no fasteners inside the duvet cover for holding the comforter/duvet in place. The pillow covers are also a bit small for king size pillows(I purchased the king set)and one of the seems had pulled slightly apart on it. The fabric does look good though, and they are pretty comfortable, but i suspect the thread count isn't as high as what's on the box. FYI:The duvet cover is a 1200ct and not 1000ct.

Her whole dorm room is centered around the brown/white duvet cover - and now we don't know what to do. No where on the information does it state that I am buying a bad second. I thought Amazon was above this

LOL :) I am actually embarrassed to think I had my mother in law and other guests sleeping on 200 thread count Bed in a Bag garbage. These get better each time you wash them and will last for many years...not a few months of washes like the cheapo sheets or duvet cover sets. GREAT gift for people who like NICE things:)

It's not. It has a very Sage Green tone to it. So if you are looking for a true Grey/Silver, this is not it. However, it is a beautiful design and feels wonderful.
