I was concerned that it might be too "shiny" but it's not. The striping is very subtle. It fits over our queen sized bed nicely, and the down comforter we use fits inside really well. I like the button closure compared to other duvet covers that zip. It also washes really well. Bonus: it comes with 2 pillow cases that are "fancier" than your standard cases, which adds a little style to the room!
