It is much busier, and the black stands out much more in person. also, the back of the duvet is a black and white pattern, which seemed to be a very stark contrast to the style on the front. The fabric was a little stiff, but would probably stiffen with use and/or washing. I ended up returning it b/c the pattern did not work with my room.
